AN UNEXPECTED PLACE…

Some time ago we were contacted by Antonella, passionate about genuine products and in love with nature: she had purchased some CasaGIN underwear for the pleasure of wearing something that makes you feel good. Antonella's project is to bring together companies that manage to convey well-being to people and nature through what they do or produce, thanks to sustainable and natural resources. She too, through the family activities, the B&B il CANNITO , and the small lido, "MARE MIRTILLI" on the PAESTUM seafront, is part of these realities.

So here we are, in this little village overlooking the sea and surrounded by hills, about 30 kilometers south of Salerno, with a soul that captivates you and transports you to the past times of distant Magna Graecia. Having set the position in the navigator, we leave the sea behind us and go up among the hills, after a few minutes we find ourselves walking along a dirt road that takes us in front of this iron gate where behind us we can only glimpse a crossroads and a thick bush . We ring the bell and they kindly tell us to take the road on the left and follow it for about a couple of km. We arrive at our destination and find ourselves immersed in nature: surrounded by thick Mediterranean scrub, surrounded by centuries-old oaks, myrtles, junipers, elms and... their structure. Perfectly integrated into the nature that surrounds it, a former stone monastery from the 1300s.

It has been renovated with patient research into materials, suitable for maintaining perfect harmony with the environment that surrounds it and in which it is completely immersed, which makes the view of the sea unique, breathtaking. Antonella and Nicola, two brothers who immediately welcome us as if we had always been friends, with the care and sensitivity that only a family can transmit to you. The presentations, a tour of the idyllic place and at the table: delicious ravioli with buffalo ricotta await us, with a tomato sauce that only the land of Campania can provide. All dishes are designed, curated and created by Nicola, who with his flavors manages to make you taste the land of Cilento.

Two days in the silence that regenerates mind, spirit and body, where breakfast is accompanied by the sound of the leaves swaying by the breeze coming from the sea, lunch in the company of geckos who look out fearfully on the stones red-hot by the Mediterranean sun and dinner, accompanied by the light of the moon and stars, which make you feel part of the earth that surrounds you. Nothing is missing, just a few minutes from the sea and surrounded by a thousand beauties to visit with the expert indications of Antonella, who knows how to point out the most pleasant and curious places that you cannot miss on your trip to this paradisiacal land.
