Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS)
GOTS is the standard for the sustainable production of clothing and textile products made with natural fibers from organic farming such as organic cotton or organic wool.
Textile products must contain at least 70% of natural fibers from organic farming, such as (but not exclusively): fibers, yarns, fabrics, clothing, textile accessories (worn), textile toys, household linen, mattresses and linen bedding, as well as personal care products.
Global Recycle Standard (GRS)
Global Recycle Standard is a certification promoted by Textile Exchange with the aim of encouraging the use of recycled materials in the textile sector. The Textile Exchange is an international non-profit association that works to guide the textile sector towards more sustainable fashion.
GRS certification is intended to meet the needs of consumers who wish to verify the presence of recycled materials in the products they purchase. The Global Recycle Standard it also guarantees socially ethical practices, and environmental responsibility aimed above all at the correct use of potentially dangerous chemicals.
ECONYL® regenerated nylon consists of waste such as fishing nets from the oceans and aquaculture, fabric waste from mills and rugs destined for the landfill. It is infinitely recyclable.
For every 10,000 tons of raw material needed to produce the ECONYL® yarn, 70,000 barrels of crude oil and 57,100 tons of CO2 eq emissions can be saved.
