Goodbye 2020, Hello 2021!

It's easy to look back on 2020 and focus on the negatives: and we had plenty of them. But despite all the struggles, we have once again demonstrated our collective resilience and abilities to adapt when necessary. We could define 2020 as the year in which virtual became normal: fairs, exhibitions and conferences became virtual; our business meetings, education, and even many of our family gatherings have moved online. Although 2020 will always be remembered for the coronavirus pandemic, there are many events that have marked the future of the planet, such as Brexit and the fires in Australia; However, 2020 will be the year we discovered that the most important thing is to share life with our friends and family, that life is not the same without freedom, and that good health is not something to be taken lightly. But 2020 was above all the year in which our CasaGIN became a little bigger and there were numerous innovations that took place in these twelve months.


 

At CasaGIN we started 2019 by studying new shapes that would make our TENCELModal classics more suitable even for the most abundant shapes. It was February when we launched the new garments intended for curvy women: we started from our classic tank top and worked on an additional size capable of adapting to curvier women; we have introduced a new model of high-waisted briefs and we have strengthened the bralette bra with an elastic band that never comes into contact with the skin. To present these news we invited some friends of CasaGIN to our offices, which for the occasion we converted into a real photographic set. All with the aim of involving those who were already part of our community, transforming these figures into real ambassadors of our brand.

June was instead the month of costumes. For the second consecutive year we have immersed our hands in the sea of ​​creativity to emerge with a parade of models: we have put together tradition and innovation to create new concepts of beauty, understood not only in an aesthetic but also an ethical sense; different shapes and colors woven into a textile fibre, Econyl, which can be regenerated, recreated and reshaped infinitely, reducing its impact on global warming potential by 80%. We have created bandeau, triangle and halter bras, classic, bow and high-waisted briefs and finally one-piece swimsuits, in different colours, all created with skill and practically imperceptible stitching.



August was dedicated to the new Stay Wild project in collaboration with WWF : we created a line of T-Shirts in GOTS certified organic cotton, spun with a technique capable of making it particularly soft compared to other cotton fabrics and printed with water colors . An initiative designed to guarantee a future for three species particularly at risk, through which CasaGIN donates 10% of the proceeds to the WWF for projects to safeguard the Koala, the Polar Bear and the Whale.



In September we didn't stop and introduced new cream and ruby ​​colors for our classic women's tank top, the bralette and some models of briefs, anthracite for the laser-cut maxi shirt, joggings and leggings and finally black for the pajamas that we also developed for men at the same time.



But 2019 has been a year full of ideas and commitment in every direction : for months we have dedicated a large part of our resources to the research and development of a project that is as innovative as it is original. And in December the first Be.GiN garments appeared on our website. The new completely eco-sustainable sportswear brand: we have created three activewear lines to satisfy the needs of all sports enthusiasts; a project to which anyone could actively contribute on KickStarter, a website created to provide collective funding for creative projects. We chose sustainability to make performance better and more aware. Our real challenge was to choose high-performance fabrics without compromise and respecting nature: recycled and biodegradable materials packaged with advanced skill and craftsmanship.



We therefore expect a 2021 marked by as many innovations because, together, we want sustainability, ethics and Made in Italy to become works on the border between craftsmanship, technology and art, to be increasingly spread.
